If you have been following The Loop Lyfe on social media then you know that I did not spend my NYE celebrations in Houston. Instead, I decided to travel to Seattle, Wa. Why? Well, it’s a 50/50 answer. 50% was because I fell in love with the city and the other 50% was for a guy that I met (more on that later).
First, let me tell you why I love Seattle so much. There is something to be said about a city where you can walk just about anywhere. My first trip to Seattle was for work in November. I loved the hotel where I stayed because it was so close to shopping stores, pastry shops and you can’t forget the famous Pike Place Market!
It was on my last night in Seattle that I met a very special guy. I’m sure you guys can guess who it is based on my Facebook pictures. We met at a bar in Belltown and right off the bat, there was an attraction (similar to the one that I had with Seattle itself). We walked around his hood and visited a couple of other bars. He took me to The Innkeeper, Wakefield Bar, and a really cool Speakeasy lounge called Bathtub Gin and Co (This place is a MUST visit).
I was so sad when our time had come to an end and I wasn’t expecting us to keep talking BUT we did. There are so many ways to keep in touch with someone who is far away. So thanks to Whatsapp, Skype, my iPhone, and social media for helping us stay connected.
I was so interested in not spending my New Year in Houston so when the opportunity came to celebrate it somewhere else and to spend it with someone who I was interested in……….I took it. I mean, wouldn’t you?

Thanks to the new friends I made during my trip, thanks to my host and most of all thanks to Seattle for welcoming me with open arms. I know this won’t be that last time I visit!
